I came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ when I was 21 years old. From that moment on, I found life, hope, forgiveness and healing. I don’t deserve his mercy, but that what makes grace so amazing.
I graduated from Wright State University in 2001 as a seconday Education major. I was 23 years old, and didn’t know how or why, but knew that my stint into education would be brief. Ever since Jesus changed my life, I wanted to work with young people and share the message of the cross with teens. Strangely enough, that it is what I am doing now in Oklahoma. It is weird how God uses the most un-likely candidates in his kingdom.
I met the woman I would later marry while I was a first year teacher. I knew from the moment I met her, that she would be my wife. We had an instant connection and were good friends before we dated, while we dated and even now. Jennifer Kinsey and I said I do, on September 13, 2002. I thought marrying Jen was a true gift, and indeed she is. I was stunned when God blessed us with our incredibly beautiful, funny, and precious daughter Rachel Danielle who was born July 3, 2003. A little over two years later, our second daughter was born, Kenzie Grace on July 27, 2005. Kenzie is beautiful, precious and just as personable as her big sister.
I am in youth ministry because I want to make a difference in the world, one teenager at a time, and one family at a time. God provided me that opportunity at the Chrisholm Trail Church of Christ. I was the for nine years and The Lord opened a door for me and family to move back to Ohio to continue to work with teenagers with the Northeast Church of Christ.
Sometimes, I wonder if I am dreaming!
